A meeting of the Southern Ohio Republican Chairs was held in Jackson
on Saturday, October 24th. This Association represents 16 counties: Adams, Brown, Highland, Clinton, Scioto, Pike, Ross, Lawrence, Jackson, Vinton, Hocking, Gallia, Meigs, Athens, Morgan and Washington. Diane Carnes, Chair of the Association announced that the association voted unanimously to endorse Rob Portman, for U. S. Senate, John Kasich for Governor, Mary Taylor for State Auditor, Jon Husted for Secretary of State and Josh Mandel for State Treasurer for the 2010 election.
"Support in Southern Ohio is critical to winning elections in our state. I have been working hard to strengthen my friendships throughout the region so when elected we can immediately begin working together to build a better future. I am grateful for this endorsement and will work everyday to earn it," said Jon Husted, State Senator and candidate for Secretary of State.
